Dental Implants

Implants can be used to replace a missing tooth, several teeth or hold a loose denture in place. An implant is a titanium screw that goes into the bone in the area where the tooth is missing. A porcelain crown attaches to the implant. All stages of the implant procedure are done at our office (the surgical and prosthetic phase). We use only the best of all implant systems, Zimmer Implant and Nobel Biocare Implant. Zimmer and Nobel are the pioneers of Implantology.

Dr. K. Ashraf has extensive training in dental implant surgery. He completed a dental implant miniresidency program with Dr. Hebel in London, Ontario. From there he went to Miami, Florida for an advanced series of courses with Dr. Arun Garg and other world renowned leaders in implant dentistry. After Miami, he obtained his training at the Dental Implant Institute (DII) in Las Vegas and California. He learned from Dr. Leon Chen, who invented many surgical techniques. Dr. K. Ashraf has also completed a two year mentorship with Dr. Leon Chen of the DII and was awarded his certification in Shanghai, China. Now Dr. K. Ashraf is the first and only surgeon to bring these technologies to Canada. In Miami, Dr. K. Ashraf has been awarded a Fellowship and Mastership with the American Dental Implant Association.

Recently in September 2011, Dr. K. Ashraf has been awarded a diplomate with the American Dental Implant Association.

Dr K Ashraf will be going with a team from Miami to Dominican Republic to an advanced surgical clinic. He will be doing implant surgeries on the local population. People will have treatment done at no charge. And the world best instructors will be there to help learn the latest surgical techniques.
